Calendar Event Complimentary Listing
Information
___________
.
New Development!
.
The calendar of The Discharge PlannerTM will
soon be divided into two categories: Professional & Senior
Events! Originally, the calendar was mainly focused on senior
professional networking events, expos, fundraisers, and
professional courses. However, The Discharge Planner is committed
to providing all the information California's senior & disabled
care professionals, volunteers, and they themselves
need.
.
The calendar has gradually expanded to list
more and more events, so in order to prevent overcrowding and make
it easier for professionals and seniors find what they are looking
for we will soon be dividing it into events mainly attended by
professionals, such as network meetings and professional courses,
and events mainly attended by or targeted to seniors, such as open
houses and information sessions.
.
Since we're only starting to do this now, we
don't have clear guidelines for what is listed where yet. Please
choose which calendar you would like your event to be listed on,
but if you think it is equally applicable to both groups, please
call our office at (951) 571-7780 to discuss instead of sending an
e-mail.

Events Elegible for Complimentary
Listing:
.
While basic listings are complimentary, they
are at the discretion of the Discharge Planner staff. In general,
we're open to any event of interest to seniors, disabled, and care
professionals (within reason), so if you're not certain whether or
not your event qualifies, please submit it for
consideration.
.
Some example categories of events we'd love
to have on our calendar:
Network Meetings
Conventions & Expos
Courses for Professionals &
Caregivers
Open Houses
Fundraisers
Support Groups
Informational Sessions
Etc.
.
(Please note that basic listings are
complimentary, not guaranteed. The Discharge Planner &
its staff reserve the right to choose not to list any event for any
reason.)

How Listings Will Appear:
.
Listings are sorted first by type onto the
two calendars, then listed under the date, generally in order of
starting time. In most
cases, only the name of the event & the time will be visible on
the actual calendar page. The name of the event will be in the
color of the county it takes place in, to make it easier for people
looking at the calendar to find events in their area.
.
The name will generally be linked either to a
page on The Discharge Planner's website with further information
(group, type, location, RSVP information, cost, etc.), or to the
website of the group or company listing the event.
It is The Discharge Planner's policy to only link to
the websites of non-profit groups, government agencies, and
advertisers.
.
If you are already an
advertiser & have an event you would like listed, please call
to discuss upgrading your listing to help it stand out. If you are
interested in becoming an advertiser and helping to support The
Discharge Planner we would love to have you on board, but there is
no charge whatsoever for the basic, complimentary
listings.
